Affiliate Disclaimer

1. Introduction

Welcome to CouchFocus ("we," "our," or "us"). This Affiliate Disclaimer explains our relationship with affiliate partners, including the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, and how we earn commissions through product recommendations and links on our website, CouchFocus.com (the "Site").

We believe in full transparency with our readers. This disclaimer is designed to help you understand how affiliate marketing works on our Site and how it may impact the content you see.

2. What Are Affiliate Links?

Affiliate links are special URLs that contain a tracking code. When you click on an affiliate link on our Site and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission from the retailer at no additional cost to you.

These links help us generate revenue to maintain and improve our website, conduct research, and continue providing high-quality, free content to our readers.

3. Amazon Associates Program

CouchFocus is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.

As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases made through our affiliate links to Amazon.com and other Amazon marketplaces worldwide, including:

• Amazon.com (United States)
• Amazon.co.uk (United Kingdom)
• Amazon.ca (Canada)
• Amazon.de (Germany)
• Amazon.fr (France)
• Amazon.es (Spain)
• Amazon.it (Italy)
• Amazon.com.au (Australia)
• Amazon.co.jp (Japan)

4. Other Affiliate Programs

In addition to the Amazon Associates Program, CouchFocus may participate in other affiliate programs with various retailers and brands. These may include, but are not limited to:

• Wayfair — Home furniture and decor
• Overstock — Furniture and home goods
• Target — Home decor and furniture
• Walmart — Furniture and home products
• IKEA — Furniture and home accessories
• Etsy — Handmade and vintage furniture decor
• Home Depot — Home improvement and furniture
• Lowe's — Home improvement and furniture

We may add or remove affiliate partners at any time. All affiliate relationships are clearly disclosed on this page and within our content.

5. How Affiliate Links Work

When you click on an affiliate link on CouchFocus, a small tracking cookie is placed in your browser. This cookie allows the retailer to track that you came from our Site and attribute any qualifying purchase to us.

Important things to know about affiliate links:

• No Additional Cost: The price you pay for the product is exactly the same as if you visited the retailer directly.
• Cookie Duration: The tracking cookie typically lasts between 24 hours and 90 days, depending on the retailer's policy. If you make a purchase within that timeframe, we may earn a commission.
• Qualifying Purchases: Not all products on a retailer's website may qualify for commissions. Some products or categories may be excluded from the affiliate program.
• Third-Party Tracking: Affiliate links are managed by third-party networks (such as Amazon Associates, ShareASale, or CJ Affiliate) that may collect information about your click and purchase.

6. Editorial Independence

At CouchFocus, our editorial integrity is paramount. Our affiliate relationships do not influence, dictate, or compromise the content we create. Here's how we maintain our independence:

• Unbiased Recommendations: We recommend products based on research, quality, value, and user feedback — not on commission rates or affiliate payouts.
• Objective Reviews: Our reviews and guides are written objectively. We highlight both the pros and cons of products to help you make an informed decision.
• No Paid Reviews: We do not accept payment in exchange for positive reviews. Any sponsored content is clearly labeled as such.
• Multiple Options: We present a variety of options within each category, not just products from our affiliate partners.
• Honest Feedback: If we believe a product is not worth purchasing, we will say so — even if it's an affiliate product.

7. Your Responsibility

While we strive to provide accurate and helpful information, it is your responsibility to verify all product details, specifications, and pricing before making a purchase. We encourage you to:

• Read Product Reviews: Check customer reviews on the retailer's website or other trusted sources to get a complete picture of the product.
• Compare Prices: Prices may vary between retailers. We recommend comparing prices before making a purchase.
• Check Policies: Review the retailer's return policy, warranty terms, and shipping information before purchasing.
• Verify Compatibility: If you're buying furniture, ensure the measurements and specifications match your space and needs.
• Consult Professionals: For complex purchases or installations, consult with qualified professionals.

We are not responsible for any issues, damages, or losses arising from your purchase or use of any product recommended on our Site.

8. No Additional Cost to You

One of the most important things to understand about affiliate links is that they do not increase the price you pay.

When you purchase a product through an affiliate link on CouchFocus, the price is exactly the same as if you had visited the retailer directly. The retailer pays us a small commission from their marketing budget to reward us for referring you to their site.

Who Pays the Commission? The retailer pays us a commission out of their profits — not you. You pay the same price as any other customer.

9. Privacy and Cookies

When you click on an affiliate link, the affiliate network or retailer may place a cookie on your browser. These cookies are used to:

• Track Click-Throughs: To know that you came from our Site.
• Attribute Purchases: To credit us for any qualifying purchases you make.
• Personalize Ads: Some networks may use cookies to deliver targeted advertisements.

These cookies are subject to the privacy policies of the respective affiliate networks and retailers. We do not have control over the data collected by third-party affiliate networks.

For more information about our cookie practices and how we protect your privacy, please review our Privacy Policy.
